• Point the camera at the barcode: The app recognizes it automatically and immediately shows name, brand, package size and product image.
• Nutrition facts at a glance: Energy, fat, saturated fat, sugar, protein, fiber and salt per 100 g – and, if you like, for the portion you actually eat.
• Properties as traffic lights: Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, with or without palm oil – color-coded wherever the data allows.
• History included: Every scanned product is kept in the history, available offline, and can be exported as CSV or shared.

Nutrition tables are honest but unwieldy. Lechs Points condense calories, sugar and protein into a single rating that lets you compare products directly.

• Classic: The simple formula of calories, sugar and protein – protein lowers the points, sugar raises them.
• Pro: Additionally takes saturated fat and fiber into account for a finer rating.
• Transparent: Both formulas are fully explained in the app – no black box, no secret recipe.
• Your daily budget: The calculator derives your basic requirement from sex, age, height, weight and activity level (Mifflin-St Jeor equation), optionally with a weight-loss goal – as calories and as Lechs Points.

• Five ways in: Straight from a scan, from the history (several at once, too), via text search on Open Food Facts, from a list of everyday foods like rolls or eggs – or manually with your own photo.
• Adjust amounts: Type grams or milliliters freely or change them in steps; points and calories update live.
• Daily totals: Lechs Points, calories, fat, sugar, protein and salt for the whole day at a glance.
• Favorites: Save a successful day as a template and load it again later with one tap.

• Right on the product: The additives it contains appear with a traffic-light color; a tap opens name, explanation and – where necessary – a warning.
• Complete database: Around 665 E numbers with classification and description, available without a product and without internet.
• Quick search: Type a number, name or keyword – "16" finds the carotenoids, "color" all colorings.

What the app does send out is limited and named honestly:

• To Open Food Facts: only the scanned barcode or your search term – nothing else.
• Barcode recognition: runs entirely on the device with Google ML Kit; camera images never leave it. Details are in the app's privacy policy.
